Some concentrations of organic chemicals are higher indoors than outdoors. In other scenarios, contaminated outdoor air may be introduced into a building through ventilation to achieve unintended consequences. Indoor air quality (IAQ) sensors support the need for sensing these pollutants and implementing ideal ventilation strategies as part of the BMS. Our new IAQ Sensors will help improve the air within the building, creating a healthier environment for occupants.
Honeywell Healthy Buildings help keep facilities safer for occupants, in part by cleaning the air automatically as people come and go. To do that, your building needs accurate data about the air quality - and that starts with our versatile range of sensors of indoor air quality (IAQ).
Proper air exchange can dispel odors, chemicals and CO2, while reducing disease transmission
The right temperatures improve health as well as productivity.
Relative humidity of 40-60% can decrease occupant exposure to infectious particles and reduce the spread of airborne pathogens.
Air cleaners can remove particles and clean recirculated and outdoor air.
Studies show that comfort levels inside your building impact health, satisfaction, and the productivity of occupants. This is influenced by factors such as comfortable temperatures and humidity, as well as air that is free of irritants, allergens and unwelcome odors.
Particulate matter sensors measure the concentration of respirable fine particulate that can be harmful to individuals from exposure to high concentrations over time. These sensors offer particulate sensing for a range of sizes: PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.0 or PM10.
TVOC refers to the total concentration of multiple airborne VOC’s present in indoor air from a variety of sources. Using TVOC sensing indoor air quality can be assessed beyond the limitations of using CO2 as a standard metric. TVOC concentrations are up to 10 times higher indoors than outdoors, supporting the need for sensing devices and ventilation strategies as part of the BMS.
Used for demand control ventilation (DVC) to control the amount of fresh outdoor air supplied to a space for cooling and maintaining acceptable levels of CO2. Additionally, ventilation via CO2 sensors can help minimize energy costs due to over-ventilation. Honeywell's self-calibrating and factory certified CO2 sensors ensure accuracy and compliance with CA Title 24, §120.1(d)3 and 4.
A multi-sensing device that contains integrated sensors for temperature, relative humidity, CO2, PM, and TVOC, while reporting values to the BMS system to provide real-time air quality monitoring. This is suitable for bench-marking and developing ventilation, filtration, and other healthy building strategies.
